Piano Lessons in Stamford and Rutland

Structured, thoughtful piano tuition for children and older musicians alike, with a focus on technique, musical understanding, confidence and long-term progress.

Structured piano lessons with clear musical progress

I provide structured piano lessons for students who want to build strong foundations. Lessons are designed to help pupils grow musically and develop secure technique, confident reading, perceptive listening and effective practice habits.

Whether you or your child has never played piano before or is preparing for exams, lessons are carefully planned so that progress feels clear, manageable, and purposeful.

Music theory and musical understanding

Theory is taught practically through the music students play, helping them understand structure, harmony, notation, and expression.

Where appropriate, lessons include focused preparation for pieces, scales, sight-reading, aural tests, and confident performance.

Exam preparation

Each student receives focused practice goals so they know exactly what to work on between lessons and how to improve effectively.

Clear practice tasks

Students explore carefully chosen classical pieces that develop technique, expression, style, and musical understanding over time.

Classical repertoire

Parents are kept informed about progress, practice priorities, and the next steps in their child’s musical development.

Why Salles Music?

Salles Music is built around careful, detailed teaching. Students are encouraged to understand what they are playing, listen carefully, practise intelligently, and develop confidence in the instrument.
